Job summary

Intelassist is seeking a seasoned .NET/C# desktop developer in Manila to lead modernization and development of our software, systems, and POS solutions. You will design, develop, test, and maintain Windows applications and back-end services to support the business.

The role requires 3+ years of Windows desktop app experience, strong problem-solving, and collaboration across teams. Onsite onboarding with eventual remote work, competitive salary, and growth programs are offered.

Qualifications

Shift: Graveyard/Nightshift (Eastern Timezone)
Work Set Up: Onsite onboarding, followed by remote setup afterward.

Position Overview:

As a developer, you will lead the modernization and development of our software, systems and infrastructure. This person will design, develop, enhance, and maintain our Point of Sales (POS) software and other applications that support the business. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of software development methodologies that result in real business impact for a growing company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain Windows applications such as Point of Sale (POS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems using C# and .NET technologies.
• Database Development and Integration: Design, develop, test, and maintain backend relational databases that integrate with application, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
• System Integration: Build applications that integrate with our current POS and/or integrate with other internal and external business systems (e.g., payment gateways, inventory management, accounting software).
• Debugging & Optimization: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, functionality, and security.
• Maintain Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of code and application workflows for future reference and ease of maintenance.
• Continuous Learning, Modernization, and Security: Stay up to date with industry best practices, tools, and technologies related to C# and .NET development and apply such learnings to modernize and secure our software, systems, and infrastructure.
• Security Compliance: Assist in ensuring that all IT systems comply with security policies and procedures to protect company data and systems.
• Training: Provide training and support to staff on new technologies and systems, fostering a culture of tech-savviness within the team.
• Collaboration: Work closely with management and other departments to assess technology needs and implement solutions that align with business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent combination of industry-related professional experience and education.
• Proven Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in developing Windows desktop applications using C# and the .NET Framework.

• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in
  • .NET/C# (.NET Framework, .NET Core, .NET)
  • .NET UI platforms (WinForms, etc.)
  • SQL and other relational database systems
  • Developer Tools (Visual Studio, Github)
  • 3rd party libraries and SDKs (i.e. CloverSDK, etc.)
  • Network protocols and Distributed systems
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Team Player: Ability to work in an agile development environment. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and provide support across multiple locations.
