Job summary

HCL Software is seeking a software engineer in the Philippines to contribute across front-end and back-end development with a focus on data structures, algorithms, and API design. You will work on algorithms, generative AI, data analysis, and Python scripting, crafting secure, scalable solutions and prototypes.

You will join a hybrid team with a mid or night PH schedule, collaborating with the internal development group to meet release timelines and requirements.

Qualifications

• Competencies in data structures, algorithms, or API design.
• Familiarity with databases, security, APIs and SDLC.
• Good knowledge of arrays, linked lists, shortest path & search algorithms, and bit manipulation.
• Ability to design scalable systems with API design, hash tables, sorting/search/trees and dynamic programming.
• Knowledge of load balancing, CDNs, database sharding, redundancy and replication.

Responsibilities

• Develop user interface with the latest front-end and back-end technologies.
• Work on algorithms, generative AI, data analysis, python scripting, and solution prototyping.
• Develop secure, robust, non-vulnerable code.
• Collect requirements and design system features and functionality.
• Ensure sprint cycles stay on track and meet release timelines.
• Support changes and coordinate with the internal development team.

Requirements:

• Competencies in data structures, algorithms, or API design
• Familiarity with industry standards, especially but not limited to databases, security, APIs and SDLC
• Good knowledge of arrays, linked lists, shortest path & search algorithms, and bit manipulation.
• Ability to design scalable systems must have good knowledge of API design, hash tables, sorting algorithms, search algorithms, binary search trees, bit manipulation, and dynamic programming.
• Good knowledge of important concepts such as load balancing, CDNs, database sharding, redundancy and replication, and API design.
• Good knowledge in automating and scaling web or mobile back-ends.
• Knowledge of mobile application development in IOS or Android and sensing technologies
• Interest, willingness and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
• Write clean code across the stack by following the best practices of the tools used.
• Proficiency in English
• Willing to work on Mid shift (4PM - 1AM) or Night shift (8PM - AM) PH schedule.
• Hybrid work onsite at least twice a week or more (depending on project needs)
