Job summary

APW Tech in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Philippines is seeking an experienced software engineer with 5+ years of hands-on development using .NET technologies to design, build, test, and integrate web services.

You will collaborate with partners, architects, and cross-functional teams, deploy to Azure, and ensure performance and SDLC compliance. Hybrid setup (3 onsite, 2 work from home) and mid/night shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on software development using .NET with web services.
• Strong expertise in core .NET concepts like multithreading, generics, serialization, and thread pools.
• Experience building and consuming Web Services and Web APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST).
• Experience deploying APIs/NET apps in Azure or other clouds; GitHub Actions to Azure.
• Strong SQL Server experience; front-end with HTML/CSS/JS/React; SDLC exposure.

Responsibilities

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs coding, testing and debugging and responsible for overall solution design quality.
• Responsible for key system design and integration decisions; and for communicating decisions to individuals implementing the system
• Works with business partners, architects, and other groups to identify technical and functional needs of system and priority
• Manages standard system processes and enhancements to system, ensures that solution design adheres to industry software design best practices
• Works with requirements team and business partners to understand the scope of work, priorities, and requirements for development
• Works with project teams to deliver new capabilities in business applications and / or remediate issues
• Contributes to defining timetables and project plans
• Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost , time, and compatibility with existing systems
• Ensures that required application performance levels are achieved

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on software development experience using .NET technologies, with a strong focus on building and supporting web services.
• Strong expertise in core .NET concepts, including Multi-threading, Generics, Serialization, and Thread Pools.
• Extensive experience in developing and consuming Web Services and Web APIs, including related technologies and frameworks such as WSDL, SOAP, REST, SOAP UI, and client generation for web service consumption.
• In-depth experience implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms for Web APIs.
• Experience deploying and managing APIs and .NET applications in Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Experience deploying .NET applications using GitHub Actions to Azure App Services and Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).
• Strong expertise working with RDBMS technologies, particularly Microsoft SQL Server, including the ability to design efficient database structures and write high-performing T-SQL queries.
• Strong front-end development experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and React JS, with expertise in cross-browser compatibility and responsive web design.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience using modern development tools, including Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code (VS Code).
• Strong technical foundation with exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
