Job summary

LAPULAPU MULTIPURPOSE COOPERATIVE is looking for a Collection Officer to lead on-site and off-site collection efforts in the Davao area. You will work to recover outstanding debts from members and borrowers, using various contact methods to inform and collect dues.

The ideal candidate has a business-related degree, owns a motorcycle with valid license, and demonstrates strong communication and negotiation skills. Fresh graduates are welcome; position assigned to AGDAO and BUHANGIN area.

Qualifications

• Experience in collection and settlement is preferred.

• Must possess a valid driver's license and own motorcycle.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site and off-site collection efforts.
• Collect outstanding debts from members and borrowers and inform about overdue accounts.
• Contact borrowers via phone, email, social media and other platforms to collect dues.
• Negotiate payment options and schedules compatible with borrowers' finances.
• Advise on payment options and potential next steps if no agreement is reached.
• Maintain confidentiality of all company information.
• Assess borrower information and conduct basic verification procedures.
• Demonstrate good communication, interviewing, observation and negotiation skills.
• Work independently and submit timely field reports.
• Familiarity with the local community and assigned territory is an advantage.
• Meet collection and field investigation targets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preferably with experience in Collection and Settlement




• Must be Honest, Reliable & Trustworthy




• Must have Valid Drivers License and OWN Motorcycle

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform on-site and off-site collection effort;




• Responsible for the collection of outstanding debts from members and borrowers. Inform borrowers of their overdue accounts and initiate the collection of payment to mitigate company losses;




• Contact borrower either through phone, email, social media accounts and all other platforms and means possible to collect, informing them of their dues and past dues;




• Communicate to delinquent customers to negotiate payment options and payment schedules that suit their current financial situation while still satisfying debt circumstance;




• Advise customers on their various payment options. If no payment agreement can be reached, inform customers of further actions that may be taken to collect overdue debts;




• Maintain high confidentiality of all company information’s in the performance of duty;




• Knowledgeable in evaluating borrower information, residence/business verification, and basic credit investigation procedures.




• Good communication, interviewing, observation, and negotiation skills.




• Able to work independently and submit accurate and timely field reports.




• Familiarity with the local community and assigned territory is an advantage.




• Willing to meet collection and field investigation targets.
