Universal Robina Corporation Sugar and Renewables Capiz is looking for a Buyer.
The Buyer is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement cycle, including supplier sourcing, accreditation, negotiation, delivery coordination, and payment processing. This role ensures the availability of assigned materials, supplies, and services while adhering to established procurement policies and strategic frameworks.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Sourcing and Negotiation:
- Identify potential suppliers and source materials and services per procurement requirements.
- Conduct market research to evaluate the pricing, quality, and availability of goods or services.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable conditions and achieve cost savings.
2. Order Processing and Tracking:
- Generate purchase orders with accuracy and ensure order details meet specifications.
- Coordinate with suppliers to track order status and ensure timely delivery.
- Resolve issues or discrepancies related to orders, invoicing, or quality concerns.
3. Supplier Coordination:
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with suppliers, ensuring open communication and swift issue resolution.
- Obtain necessary documentation from suppliers to ensure compliance and facilitate payment processing.
- Collaborate with suppliers to address sourcing challenges, changes in requirements, and other concerns.
3. Communication and Collaboration:
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand material requirements and specifications.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient communication and alignment of procurement activities.
4. Record-Keeping and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchasing activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information.
- Ensure timely documentation of material requirements, approvals, and purchasing activities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a similar role.
- Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; effective interpersonal abilities; knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.
- Certifications (Preferred): Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) or equivalent certifications.
- Other Requirements: High ethical standards, commitment to compliance with procurement policies, and ability to manage multiple tasks while adapting to changing priorities.
