Job summary

Aeven seeks a BI Developer to support Nordic region transformation, focusing on building, maintaining, and enhancing BI solutions within a data warehouse framework. You will contribute across the full lifecycle—advice, analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance—while translating client requirements into pragmatic designs.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering BI/Analytics projects across data warehouse and reporting domains.
• At least 5 years in BI/Analytics consulting or equivalent roles.
• 4–5 years in Data warehousing using Microsoft Fabric.
• 1–2 years’ experience with Medallion architecture.
• Experience with cloud services like Azure SQL DB/DW, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Analysis Services is an advantage.
• Experience working in agile project teams and cross-border collaborations.

Responsibilities

• Support transformation strategy by upgrading the application landscape and standardizing IT systems.
• Build, maintain, and provide ongoing support for moderate to complex BI solutions and processes.
• Translate client requirements into designs and solutions within standard business processes.
• Collaborate with onshore resources to integrate existing systems into the data warehouse architecture.
• Lead implementation and user experience efforts for BI offerings.
• Integrate data from multiple systems into BI solutions using flat files, SQL, API, etc.
• Understand full data flow in BI: acquisitions, transformations, modeling, analytics, and visualizations.

Job description

As a BI Developer, you will be working to support our client’s transformation mission, focused on building, maintaining, and supporting solutions for professional and DIY builders in the Nordic region.

You should have in-depth knowledge and competencies within data warehouse architecture and Enterprise BI Platform, data transformation and storage, as well as business information reporting and analysis. You will be a part of an agile development team, working on the deployment, customization, and integration of BI systems in the enterprise. Your daily work offers many different tasks in all phases of the solutions lifecycle: Advice, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and further development. You can translate knowledge into pragmatic and sustainable solutions of high quality, following customer requirements. Additionally, you will assist with assessments, estimates, and recommendations for the prioritization of change requests and defect fixing.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the transformation strategy via simplification and upgrade of the application landscape as a whole, moving away from proprietary solutions into a standardized world, creating one common platform of IT systems cross the organization.
• Support the Current Mode of Operation (CMO) while the transformation is being executed.
• Build, maintain, and provide continuous support for moderate to complex BI solutions and processes.
• Interpret and deliver client requirements against standard business processes, translating these into quality designs and solutions.
• Collaborate with On-Shore resources in integrating existing systems and services into the data warehouse architecture.
• Leads implementation and user experience efforts required for our Business Intelligence offerings.
• Work on integrating data from various systems into the BI solution, including using flat files, SQL, API and other techniques.
• A deep understanding of the entire data flow within BI solutions, from data acquisitions, transformations, data modeling, analytics, data visualizations, and more
• At least 5 years of successful experience with consulting on Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, and Analytics projects
• At least 4–5 years’ experience in Data warehousing using Microsoft Fabric.
• Has at least 1-2 years’ experience in medallion configuration
• Experience with data modeling, and building cubes with SSAS, both tabular and multidimensional. And preferably skilled with DAX and/or MDX
• Experience with skills in Microsoft Fabric and Medallion architecture.
• Proficient in extracting and manipulating large data sets with Microsoft SSIS and SQL Server.
• Practical working experience with cloud services like Azure SQL DB/DW, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Analysis Services is an advantage.
• Experience working in agile project teams is a plus.
• Practical experience with offshoring and cooperation across borders with experience negotiating and resolving issues in a multicultural environment.
• Strong consultancy skills (i.e., should be able to advise customers on the cost/ benefit, and risks associated with project decisions
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills, and must be able to communicate effectively and work at all levels of the organization.
