Business Intelligence Report Developer (SSRS/BI)

The Business Intelligence Report Developer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining reliable, high-quality reporting and analytics solutions that transform complex data into clear and actionable insights. The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, deliver scalable BI solutions, and communicate results effectively.

The position focuses primarily on SSRS-based reporting against MS SQL Server and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), while working with other BI tools such as Power BI as part of the broader BI environment. Strong experience with SSRS is essential, along with the ability to adapt to additional reporting and visualization platforms.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade SSRS reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs.
• Perform data analysis to ensure reports are accurate, consistent, and meaningful.
• Develop reporting solutions using MS SQL Server and SSAS (OLAP / multidimensional) data sources.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather, clarify, and scope reporting requirements.
• Translate business requirements into clear, effective, and maintainable BI solutions.
• Present reporting outputs and insights clearly to internal teams and global customers.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across all BI deliverables.
• Support the full BI development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and enhancements.
• Produce and maintain documentation for reports, data logic, and development standards.
• Continuously improve reporting solutions and apply BI best practices and standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience developing SSRS reports against MS SQL Server and SSAS (OLAP / multidimensional) data sources.
• Proven knowledge of OLAP architectures, multidimensional modeling, and analytical querying techniques.
• Hands-on MS SQL experience with an understanding of production data environments.
• Demonstrated experience in business intelligence reporting, data analysis, and visualization.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear and effective BI solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to gather requirements and present outputs professionally.
• Confidence working with global customers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
