Job summary

Hyvid Pty Ltd is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to design, develop, and maintain BI solutions that support the organisation's strategic objectives. This role aims to transform the client’s reporting platform into a cloud-based solution.

You will collect data from databases and APIs, build data warehouses, create data models, reports, dashboards, and ETL processes using SQL Server, Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and Excel, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data analysis, data warehousing, data modelling, and data visualisation.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and stored procedures within Microsoft SQL Server.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Azure Data Factory, and Microsoft Azure SQL.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to design, develop, test, and maintain BI solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with business users, stakeholders, and fellow developers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions.
• Collect data from databases, web services, API endpoints, etc.
• Create and maintain data warehouse, data lakes, and other data repositories.
• Develop and test data models, queries, reports, dashboards, and other visualisation tools.
• Implementing and optimising ETL processes.
• Apply data quality, security, and governance standards and best practices.
• Perform data cleansing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and expectations.
• Maintain the in-house reporting platform using SQL Server Stored Procedures and Excel.
• Create ad-hoc reports from transactional or analytics databases in Excel format.
• Understand requirements and metrics required by Executives and stakeholders.
• Maintain and grow client’s data warehouse.
• Migrate existing in-house reporting to data warehouse.
• Understand client's transactional database, and perform data cleans if required.

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Developer who will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that can help the organisation achieve its strategic objectives. The purpose of this position is to provide actionable insights to the team via the transformation of the client's existing reporting platform to a new, cloud-based reporting platform.

Key Responsibilities

The primary role of the BI Developer is to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that can help the organisation achieve its strategic objectives. This is done by:

Collecting and analysing data from various sources, such as databases, web services, API endpoints, etc.

Creating and maintaining data warehouse, data lakes, and other data repositories.

Developing and testing data models, queries, reports, dashboards, and other visualisation tools.

Implementing and optimising data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) process.

Applying data quality, security, and governance standards and best practices.

Perform data cleansing.

Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations.

Maintain the existing in-house reporting platform using SQL Server Stored Procedures, and Microsoft Excel.

Create ad-hoc reports from either transactional or analytics database in Excel format.

Ability to understand requirements and metrics required by Executive members and various stakeholders.

Maintain and grow client’s data warehouse.

Migrate existing in-house reporting to data warehouse.

Understand client's transactional database, and perform data cleans if required

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field

Proven experience in data analysis, data warehousing, data modelling, and data visualisation

Strong proficiency in SQL and stored procedures within Microsoft SQL Server

Hands-on experience with Power BI, Azure Data Factory, and Microsoft Azure SQL

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Demonstrated ability to design, develop, test, and maintain BI solutions aligned with business requirements

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with business users, stakeholders, and fellow developers
