A growing life insurance company based in Makati is looking for a Business Development Officer - Microinsurance Partnerships to join its Sales team.
This role is for someone who understands that great insurance partnerships are built on more than closing a deal.
You will help develop new business, build trusted relationships with institutional partners, support the launch and growth of insurance programs, and make sure our partners continue to receive the level of service they expect from us.

Identify, pursue and develop new partnership opportunities for life and microinsurance products.
Build a healthy sales pipeline and take opportunities from initial discussion through proposal, negotiation, onboarding and launch.
Understand a partner's business, customer base and protection needs and help translate these into appropriate insurance solutions.
Prepare proposals, presentations, business cases and other materials required to move opportunities forward.
Contribute to achieving sales, premium and partnership growth targets.
Develop and maintain productive relationships with existing and prospective partners.
Serve as a reliable day-to-day business contact for assigned accounts.
Conduct regular partner meetings, business reviews and follow-through activities.
Look for opportunities to grow existing accounts through increased participation, additional products or expanded distribution.
Represent the company professionally in partner meetings, industry activities and field engagements.
Take ownership of partner concerns and coordinate with the appropriate internal teams until issues are resolved.
Work closely with Operations, Underwriting, Product, Pricing, Marketing, Claims, Legal, Compliance and other teams to deliver agreed commitments.
Help ensure smooth implementation, enrollment, servicing, renewal and other partner-related activities.
Monitor service levels and proactively address concerns that may affect the partner or insured customers.
Keep current on developments in Philippine life insurance and microinsurance.
Monitor competitor products, pricing, propositions, distribution approaches and partner activities.
Gather partner and customer feedback and turn market insights into recommendations for improving products, service and distribution.
Maintain a practical understanding of Insurance Commission requirements relevant to life insurance and microinsurance.
This role may be a good fit if you have:
A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Finance, Economics or another relevant field.
Approximately 2-6 years of professional experience, ideally within life insurance, microinsurance, inclusive insurance or a closely related insurance distribution environment.
Actual working experience in life insurance and/or microinsurance is required.
Experience in business development, sales, account management, partnerships, relationship management or distribution within the insurance industry.
A track record of building and maintaining relationships with business or institutional partners.
Strong customer and partner service orientation-you follow through, communicate clearly and take ownership of concerns.
Confidence presenting insurance solutions and discussing business requirements with partners.
Good commercial judgment and the ability to work toward sales targets.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Filipino.
Good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and other standard business tools.
The ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with several internal teams.
