Job Description
The Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying and securing new franchise partners, managing expansion strategies, and driving the growth of the pharmacy network across the Philippines. This role involves conducting market research, evaluating franchise prospects, assisting with regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA, DOH), and ensuring smooth onboarding of new franchisees.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, screen, and evaluate potential franchisees aligned with company goals.
- Present franchise packages and investment opportunities to interested parties.
- Facilitate documentation, legal agreements, and franchise orientation.
Market Research & Feasibility
- Conduct site inspections and market viability studies.
- Analyze competitor locations, customer demographics, and pharmaceutical demand in key areas.
- Recommend suitable locations for expansion.
Relationship & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the point of contact for prospective and existing franchisees.
- Build strong relationships with local stakeholders, landlords, and government agencies (e.g., LGUs).
- Coordinate with Operations, Regulatory, and Marketing departments for franchisee support.
Compliance & Industry Knowledge
- Ensure franchises comply with local regulations (FDA, DOH, DTI, SEC, etc.).
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical retail trends and franchise laws in the Philippines.
Sales & Strategic Growth
- Assist in setting sales targets and growth plans.
- Monitor franchise performance and provide feedback or interventions as needed.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships with doctors, clinics, or hospitals to support pharmacy foot traffic.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- At least 2–4 years of experience in business development, preferably in franchising or pharmaceutical/retail sectors.
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations, industry regulations, and franchise processes in the Philippines.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel regularly within the Philippines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
