Job description
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role focuses on developing strategic partnerships, creating customized solutions for clients, and expanding the company’s presence in the logistics, warehousing, and freight forwarding industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue growth.
- Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and regular engagement.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, customer service, finance) to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and customer needs.
- Represent the company at networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and recommendations to management.
- Lead, mentor, and support junior sales and business development staff (if applicable).
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management (preferably in logistics, freight forwarding, or warehousing).
- Strong network and understanding of logistics and supply chain services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Amenable to work in Binondo Manila
- Proficiency in both Hokkien and Mandarin is an advantage.
