Maxicare Healthcare Corporation in Makati seeks a seasoned Sales Team Leader to drive revenue through new business acquisition and client retention, while guiding an in-house sales force to meet targets.

You will review proposals, endorsements, pricing, and benefits, coach the team, monitor performance against KRAs and KPIs, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to resolve client concerns and ensure smooth account closures.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in sales, preferably within HMO/healthcare/financial services.
  • At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity, leading an in-house sales team.
  • Proven experience in new business acquisition, account retention, renewals, and client relationships.
  • Strong track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets and revenue objectives.

  • Reviews and ensures compliance with processes in securing and closing accounts.
  • Reviews and endorses pricing, benefits, and proposals to ensure closure and renewal.

  • Coaches, mentors, and conducts performance reviews to address competency gaps and improve productivity.
  • Collaborates with other departments to resolve operational and client-related concerns.

Job description

  • Manages the day-to-day activities of the team in generating sales revenue through new business acquisition and business retention by effectively managing the in-house sales force.
  • Reviews and ensures the team’s compliance with established processes in securing and closing accounts.
  • Reviews and approves or disapproves proposals submitted by the team within approved actuarial rates.
  • Reviews and endorses pricing, benefit packages, and other recommendations to ensure account closure and renewal.
  • Plans, monitors, and reviews the implementation of strategic acquisition and retention programs for clients.
  • Reviews and escalates account-related concerns to the Immediate Superior and recommends appropriate solutions.
  • Ensures completeness and accuracy of required documents for newly closed accounts before endorsement to Actuarial, QRFT, Underwriting, and Account Management Support Teams.
  • Plans, monitors, and evaluates team performance against sales targets, KRAs, and KPIs .
  • Conducts coaching, mentoring, and performance reviews to address competency gaps and improve team productivity.
  • Collaborates with Account Management Support and other Department Heads to resolve operational and client-related concerns.
  • Reviews and endorses applications for leaves, overtime, cash-related transactions, business correspondence, and transportation expense reimbursements.
  • Reviews and approves or disapproves recommended account status through the C4C system.
  • Reviews and recommends approval of ex-gratia claims to the Immediate Superior.
  • Analyzes market trends and customer feedback and provides insights and recommendations to management.
  • Prepares and submits accurate and timely reports on sales performance, forecasts, budgets, and other key business metrics.

  • Strong track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets and revenue objectives .
  • Experience in handling corporate accounts, negotiations, proposals, pricing, and benefit packages .
  • Experience in developing and implementing sales acquisition and retention strategies .
  • Experience in analyzing sales performance, market trends, customer insights, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing sales teams .
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Underwriting, Actuarial, Account Management, Operations, and other business units is an advantage.
