Job Description:
Arup’s purpose, shared values and collaborative approach have set us apart for 80 years, guiding how we shape a better world.
This role is primarily a technical leadership role within the Energy team, with a strong and complementary capability to originate, shape, and win work in the transmission and distribution sector. The position balances senior technical authority, people leadership, and market facing responsibilities, ensuring Arup is recognized as a trusted technical advisor while securing a sustainable pipeline of T&D work.
Embedded within the Manila Energy Business and the wider Infrastructure practice (EWR+T Infra cost center), the role focuses on providing technical leadership across Transmission, Distribution and Renewable plant projects, while actively supporting business development activities, including:
You will act as a technical leader for T&D within the Energy team, setting technical direction, providing governance and assurance, and mentoring engineers, while also playing a key role in winning work through early client engagement, technical positioning, proposal development, and mobilization of delivery teams. Hands on delivery involvement will be selective and focused on complex, high risk, or strategically important assignments.
The role involves close collaboration with utilities, system operators, regulators, and developers, as well as Arup’s global Transmission & Distribution, Power Systems, Advisory, and Infrastructure specialists. You will lead the development of robust, innovative, and integrated technical solutions, ensuring Arup’s technical excellence is clearly articulated, differentiated, and credible in the market.
