Job summary

Arup Manila seeks an experienced Pursuit and Bid Leader to guide regional pursuits across SEA, shaping strategy from early engagement to final submission.

You will lead a high-performing team, collaborate with Brand and Client Program Managers, ensure rigorous quality control of proposals, and grow Arup's SEA pipeline across energy, water and transport sectors. The role requires strategic thinking, excellent communication and the ability to align regional opportunities with global best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degrees in engineering, architecture, business management or marketing; postgraduate marketing qualification preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in planning, executing and winning strategic pursuits.
• Experience with large-scale prime proposal development and knowledge of work-winning processes in AEC or similar.
• Significant experience in strategic pursuits and bids in Energy, Water and/or Transport sectors preferred.
• Experience spanning multiple geographies/countries across SEA is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading high-performing pursuit and bid teams.
• Ability to guide market-facing activities including capability statements, brochures and interview pitch decks.
• Strong strategic thinking, analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Confident, self-motivated, independent and proactive.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop pursuit and bid teams to win major regional opportunities.
• Oversee the review of proposals and interview materials to ensure high quality outputs.
• Collaborate with MCBD counterparts to allocate resources and ensure smooth bid development and delivery.
• Guide pursuit strategy development and prepositioning activities for large pursuits in alignment with business plans.

• Works with SEA Business leaders to bring the best of Arup's experience to our local clients throughout all stages of the pursuits and bidding process, connecting and collaborating with global and regional peers to share best practices, develop and leverage consistent ways to enhance pursuit and bid expertise in the direct team and across the business
• Play a hands of role in leading early phase engagement such as pursuit strategy development, prepositioning activities for major pursuits and large-scale projects in alignment with business plans
• Collaborates with counterparts across MCBD (Brand and Creative Services, Region Priority Pursuit and Client Program Managers) to bring the best of Arup to clients and also allocate resources ensuring smooth bid development and delivery process.
• Oversees the review of proposal, qualifications, interview prep materials delivered by the wider pursuit team ensuring strong quality control that leads to impactful pursuit outcomes.
• Leads a team of pursuit and bid professionals with the aim of growing and expanding Arup's pipeline of work and bringing the best of Arup's experience to SEA clients

Is this role right for you?

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, architecture, business management, sales, marketing and/or postgraduate professional qualification in marketing.
• At least 10 years experience in planning, executing and winning strategic pursuits
• Experience with large-scale prime proposal development and knowledge of current work winning processes, practices and norms within the AEC industry or similar.
• Significant experience in strategic pursuits and bids in Energy, Water and/or Transport industry sectors highly regarded.
• Experience spanning multiple geographies /countries across SEA is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading high performing pursuits and bid teams
• Ability to guide market-facing activities including the development of capability statements, brochures and interview pitch decks
