Job summary

Outsourcey is seeking a delivery-embedded Business Analyst for enterprise technology programs in the Philippines. You will elicit and structure requirements, own API contract clarifications, and drive clear acceptance criteria with engineers and QA.

• Strong collaboration with engineers and QA; focus on clarity.
• Familiarity with AI tools for analysis and test case drafting.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and API operation.
• Experience with financial services or Australian issuer environments.
• Experience feeding KPI frameworks with delivery quality signals.
• Comfort with event-driven and domain-driven concepts; backend-focused.

Profile Requirements:

• 5+ years as a delivery-embedded Business Analyst on enterprise technology programs, .
• Strong experience eliciting, structuring, and writing requirements and acceptance criteria Track record of clarifying complex upstream/downstream integrations and translating them into testable stories.
• Hands-on with modern BA toolchain: Jira, Confluence, Miro, -, SQL for data exploration.
• Strong collaboration style with engineers and QA — you own clarity, not process overhead.
• Working familiarity with AI tools (e.g. Copilot, Claude) for requirement analysis and drafting, test case generation, and stakeholder summaries.
• Good understanding of a microservices architecture and how this operates practically for APIs
• Excellent written and spoken English Desirable skills / nice to have
• Card issuing, payments, or core banking domain knowledge, Prior experience on legacy-to-cloud migration programs with parallel-run and cutover considerations.
• Exposure to financial services or comparable Australian non-bank issuer environments.
• Experience feeding KPI frameworks with delivery quality signals.
• Confident with event-driven and domain-driven concepts — comfortable in a backend-heavy squad without a UI workstream

Core responsibilities:

• Elaborate user stories and acceptance criteria at the depth engineering and QA need to deliver.
• Partner with subject matter experts to capture current-state of the platform behaviour and translate it to target-state newer service contracts.
• Own API contract clarification with dependent teams; drive out event schemas, error semantics, and non-functional acceptance criteria. Identify gaps in requirements, mapping and scenarios provided and seek clarifications.
• Maintain a clear line of sight from requirements through iteration scope, stories, and showcase demonstrations.
• Collaborate with the QA Engineer on test scenarios, test data requirements, and acceptance test design.
• Support the Tech Lead and Squad Lead in iteration planning, incubation week deep-dives, and JSIT defect triage.
• Keep Jira/Confluence/Miro artefacts current, accurate, and useful — not documentation for its own sake.
• Feed iteration KPI reporting with functional-quality signal (requirement defects, story churn, clarification turnaround).
