Job summary

CBRE Building Engineer role focuses on monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building systems across facilities, including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling, to ensure reliable operations.

You will participate in preventive maintenance, comply with codes and safety directives, review building systems performance, optimize energy use, and support client sustainability goals while coaching others and upholding CBRE RISE values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
• Universal CFC certification preferred.
• Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more and meet physical requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and analytical skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, and safety systems.
• Ensure facility operations comply with all codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program and strive for efficient system performance.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Review building system inspections (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for design compliance.
• Apply standard principles to accomplish complex assignments and provide practical solutions.
• Support team knowledge sharing and coaching within the function.
