Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain and repair building system operations across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing and fire/life-safety systems in a dynamic facilities environment.

You will support preventive maintenance, enforce codes and safety directives, optimize energy use, and manage hazardous materials handling while mentoring junior staff. A licensed EE/ME and 1–2 years in facilities management, with data center exposure, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed EE/ME with 1–2 years of facilities management experience; data center background is a plus.
• Must meet physical requirements (stooping, standing, walking, stairs, lifting 50 lbs).
• Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis from multiple sources.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Ensure building systems comply with codes, regulations and safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program and optimize system efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials; keep a clean, safe workplace.
• Review building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing for design capability and environmental conditions.
• Apply standard principles to complex tasks and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge; lead within the team.
• Lead by example and promote CBRE RISE values.
