Job summary

Taft Properties is seeking a Building Engineer to report at our East Kamias site in Quezon City. You will oversee daily operations of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, coordinate contractor repairs, and drive energy efficiency across building systems.

The role requires a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree with 2–3 years of relevant experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of building codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 2–3 years of experience as Building Engineer or similar.
• Proficient in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and building systems.
• Familiar with building codes, safety standards, and relevant regs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance and operations of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Conduct regular property inspections and preventive maintenance; coordinate repairs with contractors.
• Analyze performance data and implement energy-saving measures to improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards.
• Provide technical support to property management and tenants.
• Maintain records and documentation of maintenance activities.

About the role:

This position requires you to report at our property site located at East Kamias, Quezon City.

• Oversee the daily maintenance and operations of our building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical systems




• Conduct regular property inspections and preventive maintenance, coordinate contractors for repairs, and upgrades to maintain property standards




• Analyze performance data and implement energy-saving measures to optimize efficiency of building systems




• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards




• Provide technical support and guidance to our property management team and tenants




• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to building systems and maintenance activities

Role Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering




• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Building Engineer or in a similar role




• Proficient in the operation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems




• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues and effectively collaborate with stakeholders




• Knowledge with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards




• Proficient in using building management software and other relevant technologies
