Job summary

San Miguel Corporation is seeking a field supervisor to oversee contract growing farms in Negros Occidental, ensuring adherence to biosecurity standards and optimizing farm operations from loading to harvesting. You will coordinate with farm teams and senior specialists to implement technical programs across the area.

The role requires hands-on leadership, planning, and data-driven evaluation of farm performance to achieve target production.

Responsibilities

• Instruct farm personnel on proper husbandry, health and record-keeping per the Broiler Raising Manual via seminars and hands-on demos.
• Audit implementation of procedures.
• Evaluate results based on production efficiencies and prepare post-harvest analysis as needed.
• Feedback results to Area Operations Manager, Animal Health Specialist or Nutritionist for program reviews.
• Develop/design programs for individual farms or groups in consultation with Supervisors and Animal Health Specialist.
• Direct activities of contract growing farms to deliver target results.
• Evaluate readiness of farms for loading regarding biosecurity, facility setup and manpower.
• Plan chick loading schedule and volume per farm based on equipment and climate forecast.
• Plan harvesting based on volume and liveweight, assess flock uniformity.
• Project farm efficiencies such as harvest recovery, FCR, average live weight and age at harvest.
• Plan deliveries and retrievals of feeds based on inventories and consumption rates.
• Conduct genset audits in farm facilities.
• Maintain good working relationships with business partners.
• Discuss company policies with contract growers.
• Address growers’ concerns and provide feedback to superiors.
