Job summary

Cocogen Insurance, Inc. is seeking a finance professional to manage collection, disbursement, and reporting functions. You will handle premium payments, issue receipts, and prepare financial statements and reconciliations. Training at Head Office in Ortigas, Pasig City is required.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and at least 1 year of relevant experience, with a willingness to be trained at the head office.

Qualifications

• Willing to be trained at Head Office located in Ortigas, Pasig City.

Responsibilities

• Accept and deposit premium payments from clients, agents, intermediaries, messengers and employees.
• Verify all forms of payments including cash, check, and credit card against remittance schedules prior to issuance of receipts.
• Issue official receipts or provisional receipts for collections received.
• Prepare Statements of Account (SOA) for distribution to branch intermediaries.
• Prepare commission payment requests upon payment of premium after review of supporting documents.
• Prepare payment requests in the form of checks or disbursement vouchers for reimbursements and branch operational expenses.
• Perform daily reconciliation of collection including cash, check, credit card and over-the-counter payments.
• Monitor post-dated checks, provisional receipts, cash advances, liquidations, cancelled checks and returned checks.
• Reconcile bank statements for Savings and Current Accounts.
• Prepare monthly receivables reports and other reports including Checking Fund Replenishment, Weekly Collection, Daily Cash Count and PDC Register.
