Job summary

Mabuhay Vinyl Corporation is seeking a Branch Accountant in Cebu City. The role focuses on daily cash handling, invoicing reconciliation, and treasury tasks to support branch operations in the Philippines.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 1 year of accounting or treasury experience. Strong English communication, reliability, and a diligent work ethic are essential.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the Cash Receipts process.
• Applies receipts to the appropriate invoice.
• Prepares bank reconciliation.
• Reviews receipts and supporting documents before releasing payments to ensure compliance.
• Administers petty cash fund and controls.
• Receives creditable withholding taxes from customers.
• Checks and verifies issued sales invoices.
• Performs inventory counts.
• Secures annual business permits.

Job description

As Branch Accountant, you are responsible for effecting activities which in depositing cash received from customers and employees, recording of daily cash receipts, assist in the determination and monitoring of daily cash balance and custodianship of petty cash fund.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for the Cash Receipts process
• Applies receipts to the appropriate invoice
• Prepares bank reconciliation
• Review official receipts, collection receipts and/or acknowledgement receipts from suppliers before releasing the check payments to ensure compliance with BIR's invoicing requirements
• Responsible for the administration of petty cash fund
• Receives creditable withholding taxes from customers
• Checks and verifies issued sales invoices
• Performs inventory count
• Secures annual business permits

About you

• Bachelor Graduate, preferably major in Accounting or Finance
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in Accounting or Treasury
• Has knowledge and/or experience on banking
• Good command in English - proficient in both oral and written communication
• Must have good interpersonal skills, good working attitude, hardworking and diligent
