Job summary

Coca-Cola Europacific Aboitiz Philippines Inc. seeks a Bottling Line Operator to manage highly automated bottling equipment, ensure product quality, and optimize line efficiency. You will monitor parameters, perform preventive maintenance, and analyze data to prevent deviations.

The role requires technical/ vocational training or relevant experience, with strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of TPM and 5S practices. This is a full-time on-site position in Davao City, Philippines.

Qualifications

• Preferably graduate of a technical/vocational course with relevant training or experience.

• Ensure bottling line equipment runs efficiently to meet performance targets.

Job description

This Bottling Line Operator position is responsible for effectively managing the operations of the bottling line equipment, equipped with a PC-based human machine interface which includes: (1) Performance of standard machine operating procedures, (2) Adequate preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, (3) Machine performance monitoring, (4) Operational analysis of machine, trouble shooting and corrective action, and (5) To ensure production of quality products at optimum efficiency, productivity, and cost.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures machine/equipment is running efficiently thereby meeting machine efficiency targets. Strictly performs standard operating procedures during start-up, shutdown, normal operation and maintenance

• Makes sure that operating parameters that affect the packaging integrity are within standards and that there are no missing bottles. Consistently records these data and ensures integrity of information. Analyzes trends to forestall any possible deviation. Should the parameters deviate from standards, investigates the situation and identifies alternative solutions. Addresses the problem by performing the necessary action/s to eliminate the deviation.

• Anticipates problems related to machine operation based on machine history and current performance including but not limited to packaging output for Case Packer (complete full goods in crates), bottle output for uncaser (no broken bottles caused by machine errors are loaded to bottle conveyors), noise and vibration output of lifting, pick up head and drive assembly (normal or abnormal). Assess criticality of problems identified and their respective impact on overall operation. Develop preventive strategies to preclude potential problems. Prioritize action based on impact, cost, and other relevant factors. Suggests timing of activities that will not impede bottling operation.

• Validates diagnostic messages displayed in man-machine interface and trace sources of error. Troubleshoots equipment based on the systematic and sequential approach of Problem Solving Process (PSP) to identify the root cause. Executes required action to address the root cause. Document corrective action taken. Closely follows-through to assess degree of effectiveness of solution/s employed. Tracks improvements on performance resulting from the intervention.

• Validates degree of consistency and accuracy of equipment performance in relation to product quality to guarantee that it is of the highest standard. Assesses machine performance to ensure compliance to food safety standards. Performs statistical data analysis methods under Statistical Process Control (SPC) to establish stability of said processes. Interprets results of statistical analysis and implement corrective action.

• Performs mechanical changeover of highly automated machines employing the SMED principle, with minimal use of tools and at the shortest possible amount of time. Ensures that right parts are used and proper adjustments are made according to the SKU to be run.

• As part of the Total Productive Maintenance Program (TPM), performs scheduled and time-based maintenance activities such as lubrication and inspection (on vibration, overheating, fatigue, obstruction and wear-and-tear). Employs Basic Equipment Care (BEC) strategies to prevent forced deterioration of equipment.

• Monitors availability of spares and consumables. Prepare materials/parts and tools needed prior to scheduled maintenance. Oversees any maintenance activities undertaken in coordination with Engineering and evaluates quality of work by external parties, if there should be any

• Manages cleanliness and orderliness of working area by applying 5S and GMP. Identifies point sources of contaminants and creates a scheme to eliminate the source. Observes proper hygiene at all times. Employs aseptic procedure in all activities dealing with product contact surface.

• Practices behavior-based safety to ensure operational requirements to personnel, food, occupational, environment and health safety are strictly observed. Conducts all precautionary safety checks and activities during operation and prior to conducting maintenance activities (i.e. Lock Out Tag Out; Use prescribed PPEs).

• Carries out all activities in compliance to the requirements of the Coca‑Cola Company.

• Participate in activities that promote well- being and welfare by promoting integration and commitment to the values of CCBPI.

• Fulfills the current security and quality polices in the plant.

• Participates, develops and executes actions that contribute and assure the fulfillment of the following standards: ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, FSSC 22000:2018 and the standards that apply for the improvement of the system.

Job Qualifications:

• Preferably a graduate of any technical/vocational course with equivalent extensive technical training/experience

• Preferably with relevant experience in technical-related practice (mechanical/electrical/pneumatics) and to operate highly automated bottling equipment
