Mario A. Alix Philippines, Inc. is seeking a diligent Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records and support the Accounting team with day-to-day bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, expense monitoring, and documentation.
You will prepare checks, monitor bank accounts, and assist with tax and BIR compliance. A Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and strong Excel or Google Sheets skills are preferred; fresh graduates are welcome. Strong attention to detail and integrity are essential.
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate, complete, and organized financial records of the company. The role will handle day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including bank reconciliation, operating expense monitoring, check preparation, and financial documentation.
The Bookkeeper will also support the Accountant and Management by ensuring that financial records are properly updated, reconciled, and readily available for review, while assisting in tax and BIR compliance requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping and financial records.
Perform regular bank reconciliation and verify bank transactions against company records.
Record and monitor operating expenses, invoices, receipts, vouchers, and other financial transactions.
Prepare and organize financial records, schedules, and supporting documents for Accountant review.
Monitor company bank accounts, balances, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and outstanding transactions.
Prepare and process checks based on approved payment requests and supporting documents.
Maintain an updated check register and monitor issued, released, and outstanding checks.
Ensure that all financial transactions are properly supported, recorded, and filed.
Assist in the preparation and organization of documents required for tax and BIR compliance.
Monitor applicable tax and BIR filing deadlines and coordinate with the Accountant to ensure timely submission of requirements.
Review financial records and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
Identify, investigate, and assist in resolving discrepancies in bank, expense, and accounting records.
Prepare regular bookkeeping, expense, and bank reports for Management.
Maintain confidentiality and proper safekeeping of financial information and documents.
Assist the Accountant and Management with other accounting and bookkeeping-related tasks as needed.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
At least 6 months of relevant experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance is preferred.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures.
Familiarity with bank reconciliation, expense monitoring, check preparation, and BIR compliance is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Good numerical and analytical skills.
Able to handle confidential financial information with integrity.
Good communication and time-management skills.
Willing to learn and work collaboratively with the Accountant and Management.
