SGL08 Chemicals Corporation is seeking a meticulous Bookkeeper to join our team in Guiguinto, Bulacan. You will maintain precise financial records and support daily accounting operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
Responsibilities include recording transactions, reconciling ledgers, preparing financial reports, and assisting with tax compliance while upholding confidentiality and accuracy of data.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to maintain accurate and timely financial records and support the Company's day-to-day accounting operations.
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for recording and monitoring financial transactions, maintaining accounting documentation, performing account reconciliations, preparing financial reports, and assisting with statutory compliance requirements. The role will also provide financial and administrative support to Management while ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of the Company's financial records.
The position is ideal for individuals who are highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with financial information and documentation.
General Bookkeeping
Record daily financial transactions accurately and completely.
Maintain the company's books of accounts and accounting records.
Prepare journal entries and ensure proper classification of financial transactions.
Maintain and update the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
Ensure completeness and proper filing of accounting documents
Accounts Receivable
Record customer billings and collections
Monitor outstanding receivables.
Prepare statements of accounts as required
Coordinate with Sales, Collections personnel, and Management regarding overdue accounts.
Reconcile customer balances.
Accounts Payable
Record supplier invoices and obligations
Verify supporting documents before processing payments
Monitor payment schedules and due dates.
Reconcile supplier statements of account
Prepare payment request for Management approval.
Bank and Cash Reconciliation
Perform regular bank reconciliations.
Monitor cash balances.
Record bank transactions.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Internal Coordination
Prepare periodic financial reports for Management.
Generate trial balances and supporting schedules.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Maintain schedules for fixed assets, inventory adjustments, and accruals.
Payroll Support
Assist in payroll preparation by verifying attendance, salary adjustments, overtime, incentives, and authorized deductions.
Tax Compliance
Assist in the preparation of tax schedules and supporting documents.
Prepare records necessary for tax filings under the supervision of Managements or the Company's Accountant.
Maintain organized records for audits conducted by government agencies.
Inventory Accounting Support
Record inventory movements as required.
Reconcile inventory records with warehouse reports.
Monitor inventory adjustments and investigate variances.
Coordinate with Warehouse and Purchasing Departments regarding inventory discrepancies.
Documentation and Records Management
Maintain complete accounting files and supporting documentation.
Ensure confidentiality of all financial information.
Organize accounting records for internal and external audits.
Internal Control
Verify completeness and accuracy of financial documents before recording.
Report irregularities, discrepancies, or suspected fraud to Management immediately
Comply with internal financial controls and approval procedures.
Recommend process improvements to strengthen financial controls.
Administrative Support
Assist Management in preparing financial analysis and special reports.
Support external accountants and auditors during audits.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by Management.
Other related tasks may be assigned based on operational needs and business priorities.
Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, Business Administration, or any related field.
At least one (1) year of bookkeeping or accounting experience is preferred.
Fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds may be considered.
Knowledge in Basic Philippines taxation and bookkeeping procedures.
Knowledge in Accounting principles and financial reporting.
Knowledge in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes.
Knowledge in Payroll computation and documentation.
Knowledge in Inventory accounting.
Knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
