Job summary

MedSpecialized, Inc. is seeking a Bilingual Virtual Medical Assistant to provide English/Spanish support for patient scheduling and clinic information. The role includes outbound reminders, EMR documentation, and collaboration with onsite and remote teams.

Applicants must have at least a High School level and 6 months of healthcare BPO experience, be fluent in English and Spanish, and be able to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays. Remote and onsite options exist within the Philippines.

Qualifications

• High School level with 6 months healthcare BPO experience.
• Medical Allied Grad or Non-Medical Allied Grad.
• Healthcare BPO experience is an advantage.
• Must be proficient in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
• Typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
• Computer literate, including Gmail, Google Sheets, and EMR systems.
• Internet speed of at least 100 Mbps.
• Stable internet connection and a conducive work-from-home environment.
• Willing to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide bilingual support (English/Spanish) for inbound calls, assisting patients with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and general clinic information.
• Conduct outbound calls in both English and Spanish for patient appointment reminders, wellness checks, and other routine outreach.
• Document accurate, detailed EMR notes for all patient interactions, effectively looping in onsite personnel and providers.
• Utilize Google Chat to maintain seamless communication with online personnel, as well as separate dedicated channels with DRC team members.

About the Client: DrCatalyst

DrCatalyst (DrC) is a healthcare staffing organization with over 250 billable staff from the Philippines supporting healthcare companies across the United States. We are seeking highly motivated and fluent bilingual healthcare professionals to assist healthcare clinics with patient scheduling, appointment coordination, and administrative support. Team members may also have opportunities to receive training in referral management, authorizations, medical records, eligibility and benefits verification, prescription coordination, and other healthcare administrative functions.

Work Schedule and Arrangement: Night shift

• Remote Work – For Applicants Residing in the Philippines, Outside Cebu Province Only
• Onsite Work Setup — Applicants residing in Cebu are required to work onsite at the Cebu office

Office Location: 8th floor Skyrise 4B Building, IT Park, Lahug, Cebu City, Cebu

• Monthly salary of 20,000php - 30,000php (depending on BPO healthcare experience)
