Job summary

Bush & Bush Law Group in the Philippines is seeking a highly motivated Medical Assistant (English/Spanish - bilingual) to join our remote team. You will review and track medical treatment, manage medical and billing records, verify record accuracy, and communicate with providers to obtain status updates.

With a caseload of 30-40 active cases, you will provide weekly updates, assist with subrogation liens, and support the Case Manager to confirm clients have received necessary treatment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior medical assistant/healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, billing codes, and medical records management.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review and track medical treatment throughout each phase of the treatment lifecycle.
• Request and obtain medical and billing records and affidavits efficiently.
• Verify records for accuracy and completeness.
• Proactively contact providers to obtain status updates; some calls required.
• Provide weekly status updates on records and affidavits.
• Research and manage subrogation liens, including Medicaid/Medicare and hospital liens.
• Caseload management for 30-40 active cases and growing.
• Assist Case Manager in confirming clients have received necessary treatment.
