Role Overview:
In this full-time position, you will take ownership of the end-to-end bid process for a well established Australian project management, engineering, and infrastructure consultancy. You will be responsible for reviewing tender portals (both government and private), scanning trade press for potential opportunities, and leading the bid go/no-go process for each opportunity.
You will coordinate all bids, respond to queries, draft submissions for team leader review, and generate high-quality bid documents and collateral using InDesign, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint. Additionally, you will issue strategic social media posts in a timely manner to support bids that are about to be released.
We are looking for someone who is highly process-driven, deadline-focused, and experienced in construction, infrastructure, or engineering tender environments. Strong written English and exposure to government or private tender processes are essential.
Responsibilities:
Review all tender portals (government and private) for relevant bidding opportunities.
Monitor trade press to identify potential new opportunities.
Lead the bid go/no-go process for each opportunity, coordinating input from key stakeholders.
Coordinate the full lifecycle of all bids from identification to submission.
Respond to all bid-related queries in a professional and timely manner.
Draft submissions for review by the team leader.
Generate bid documents and collateral using InDesign, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
Issue strategic social media posts at appropriate times to support upcoming bids.
Ensure all deadlines are met with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
Must-Have Skills:
Proven experience in construction, infrastructure, or engineering tender environments.
Strong written English skills with excellent attention to grammar, tone, and clarity.
Exposure to government or private tender processes.
Advanced skills in InDesign, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.
Highly process-driven and deadline-driven with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
Strong coordination and communication skills to work effectively with team leaders and stakeholders.
Ability to draft compelling, professionally formatted submissions.
Nice-to-Have Skills (Highly Valued):
Experience with social media management to support bid release timing.
Background in a consulting or professional services environment.
Familiarity with Australian government tender portals (e.g., Tenders NSW, Buy Queensland, AusTender).
