Job summary

Nordic is seeking a BI Developer to act as a data expert, building and tuning IT solutions across coding, testing, debugging, and implementation. The role focuses on OLAP, relational and multidimensional databases, and delivering insightful reports and dashboards.

You will design data models, develop data warehouse solutions, validate data integrity, and collaborate with internal teams to drive data governance and business improvements. A background in data warehousing and Azure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years, preferably 3 years in data warehouse and reporting.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms and Azure is a plus.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with reporting and visualization tools.
• Healthcare data experience is a plus.
• Experience with Python is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal customers.
• Detail-oriented with ability to dig into the weeds while keeping the big picture reporting goals in mind.
• Strong quantitative and data analysis skills.
• Demonstrated ability to seek out, analyze, and solve problems.
• Must embody Nordic’s maxims.

Responsibilities

• Create and support BI tools and reports, such as physical data models and dimensional analyses.
• Design, code, test, and aggregate results from SQL queries to provide information to users.
• Participate in design, development, and analysis of data architecture and warehousing approaches.
• Develop data models to align with business needs and support operational improvements.
• Validate data integrity, monitor system performance, and deliver data/analyzation requests.
• Work with Azure Synapse Analytics from system design to ongoing maintenance.
• Harmonize reporting definitions for diverse business stakeholders.
• Summarize analysis results clearly and timely.
• Ensure report quality by troubleshooting end user issues.
• Collaborate with internal operations to understand data needs and create user-friendly reporting.
• Drive data governance with BI, IT, and operations teams.
• Stay updated with industry trends and new technologies to innovate BI processes.
• Handle ad hoc projects and support corporate initiatives as needed.
