VA Masters is seeking a Social Media Video Editor & Content Specialist to lead short-form video creation for a beauty and skincare brand. You will craft scroll-stopping Reels, TikToks, and Shorts, write captions, and tailor content for each platform while producing supporting marketing assets.

The role emphasizes a premium design sensibility, native platform optimization, and collaboration with the brand manager to scale content output.

Qualifications

• Proven background editing short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• Proficiency in Figma — a required tool for design and asset production.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut for video editing.
• Solid video storytelling ability with hooks that stop the scroll in the opening seconds.
• Excellent copywriting for social captions and hooks, in a defined brand voice.
• Knowledge of platform-specific formats, aspect ratios, durations, and native best practices.
• Ability to post and manage content across multiple social platforms.
• Comfort with using AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT in content workflows.
• Strong visual design sense with premium quality output.
• Ability to interpret analytics and drive content decisions.

Responsibilities

• Turn raw footage into high-performing short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• Assemble videos with narrative structure and a strong opening hook.
• Add captions, text overlays, transitions, trending audio, and sound design.
• Write captions and hooks in the brand voice tailored to each platform.
• Reformat content so versions read native on each platform.
• Create marketing assets in Figma to support campaigns and launches.
• Feed Amazon A+ content with product visuals and assets.
• Manage posting across platforms with a steady publishing rhythm.
• Track performance and report views, engagement, retention, and reach.
• Identify top-performing content and advise on future formats.
• Organize raw footage, project files, and assets for quick retrieval.
• Collaborate with brand manager on creative direction and revisions.
