Job summary

Seda Hotels is seeking a Banquet Manager to oversee the daily operations of the hotel's banquet and function areas, ensuring events are delivered to agreed requirements and service standards. The role will supervise banquet personnel, review event orders, coordinate room setup and service arrangements, and ensure flawless execution.

This role also involves staff training, scheduling, and cost control to maintain quality across high‑volume events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least 4 to 5 years of experience in hotel banquet, food and beverage, or events operations
• Previous supervisory or managerial experience in banquet operations is preferred
• Strong knowledge of banquet service, function setup, event orders, food and beverage operations, and service standards
• Experience in manpower scheduling, inventory monitoring, event coordination, and cost control
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, customer service, and problem-solving skills
• Able to manage multiple functions and maintain service quality in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and extended hours depending on event requirements

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the hotel's banquet and function areas
• Supervise banquet personnel, review event orders and function requirements
• Coordinate room setup and service arrangements, ensure proper execution of events
• Work closely with Events, Culinary, Stewarding, Engineering, and other departments
• Address client and guest concerns, monitor operating supplies
• Support employee training and performance management
