Private Advertiser is seeking a Banquet Coordinator to support planning and execution of banquets, conferences, weddings, meetings, and other events. You will coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and high guest satisfaction.
The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask under pressure during large events. A hospitality-focused education and 1–2 years of relevant experience are preferred.
About the role
The Banquet Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the planning and execution of banquets, conferences, weddings, meetings, and other events. The position ensures smooth coordination between clients, the Banquet Team, Kitchen, Sales, and other departments while maintaining excellent guest service and event standards.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate and assist in the planning and execution of banquets, meetings, weddings, conferences, and special events
Coordinate with clients regarding event requirements, schedules, menus, setup, and other arrangements
Prepare and monitor Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure all details are properly communicated to concerned departments
Coordinate with the Sales, Kitchen, Service, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments to ensure event requirements are met
Conduct pre-event briefings and ensure the banquet team is properly informed of event details
Monitor event setup, table arrangements, decorations, equipment, and other requirements before and during the event
Assist in ensuring that food and beverage service is delivered according to the approved menu and event specifications
Monitor the progress of events and immediately address operational concerns or client requests
Assist in handling guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and promptly
Ensure proper coordination of special requests, VIP requirements, dietary restrictions, and other client preferences
About you
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Tourism, or a related field
At least 1-2 years of experience in banquet, events, catering, or hotel operations is preferred
Experience in a hotel, resort, restaurant, or events/conference setting is an advantage
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail
Customer-service oriented and able to handle clients professionally
Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure, especially during large events
Proficient in basic computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and email
Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required by events
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
