Job summary

BDO Unibank, Inc. is seeking an Industry Research Officer to analyze banking-industry data from bank financial statements and regulatory bodies to determine trends and BDO’s position.

Reporting to the Head of Industry Research, this role supports Investor Relations, internal analysis, and strategic decision-making by providing timely, accurate industry insights.

Onsite work in Makati or Ortigas is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job preferably Finance or Accounting.
• At least three (3) years of experience in research, finance and/or management accounting preferably gained from a bank or other financial institutions.
• Must be amenable to working onsite and be assigned to Makati or Ortigas.

Responsibilities

• Collate and analyze bank financial statements and regulatory data to identify industry trends.
• Compare BDO's performance to peers and industry benchmarks.
• Prepare industry reports for the Board and Investor Relations.
• Compile data across units and verify accuracy.
• Develop market valuation analyses for the Bank vs peers.
• Aggregate branch and ATM network data and industry rankings.
• Prepare presentations for annual meetings and BSP visits.
• Support IR in addressing analyst and investor queries.
• Execute other related tasks as assigned.
