Job summary

MicroSourcing in Pasay City is seeking a Bank Reconciliation Specialist for our onsite night-shift team. You will prepare timely and accurate monthly reconciliations across multiple bank accounts and legal entities linked to global operations, and you will investigate and resolve reconciling items.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 3–5 years of accounting experience (multi-regional/multi-currency preferred), and strong Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in multi-regional or multi-currency environments.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
• Experience managing monthly close deadlines and maintaining general ledger integrity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and internal controls.
• Fluency in Spanish (written and verbal) is a plus.
• Experience in SSC or BPO environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly reconciliations for multiple bank accounts and legal entities across global operations.
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items, including outstanding checks, deposits in transit, ACH returns, unposted wires, and bank errors.
• Post daily cash transactions, bank fees, interest, and adjusting journal entries to the general ledger.
• Maintain organized reconciliation schedules, spreadsheets, and documentation to support audits.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Payroll, Treasury, and regional accounting partners to ensure timely cash postings and resolve variances.

Your Role

As a Bank Reconciliation Specialist, you will:

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly reconciliations for multiple bank accounts and legal entities across global operations.
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items, including outstanding checks, deposits in transit, ACH returns, unposted wires, and bank errors.
• Post daily cash transactions, bank fees, interest, and necessary adjusting journal entries directly to the general ledger.
• Maintain organized reconciliation schedules, spreadsheets, and documentation to support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Accounts Payable, Payroll, Treasury, and regional accounting partners to ensure timely cash postings and resolve variances.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within a multi-regional or multi-currency environment.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly intermediate to advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
• Proven experience managing monthly close deadlines and maintaining general ledger integrity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and internal controls.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Prior experience working within a Shared Services Center (SSC) or BPO setting.
• Fluency in the Spanish language (written and verbal).
• Process improvement mindset with a track record of streamlining workflows.
• Experience interfacing with global treasury, credit, and AP/AR functions.
• Self-directed initiative with strong ownership over complex reconciliations and audit preparation.
