Job summary

Ivoclar, based in the Philippines, is seeking a Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable .NET/C# backend services and APIs. You will create integration adapters, data access layers, and AI-powered components while collaborating with Frontend and Full Stack teams to ensure robust backend support.

The role emphasizes secure, scalable software and DevOps practices, with opportunities to mentor peers and contribute to architecture discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master Degree in IT Technology, or Business Informatics.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Excellent understanding of system integrations and software development lifecycle.
• Experience with enterprise application architecture and integration patterns.
• Proven experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and related tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence).
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Communicative and cooperative team player.
• Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive mindset, able to balance priorities and operational execution.
• Passion for software quality and continuous improvement.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve backend services and APIs using .NET and C#.
• Build and maintain integration adapters and platform connectors.
• Design and implement data access layers and database interactions.
• Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations using Message Bus technologies.
• Support BFF implementations and collaborate with Full Stack Developers.
• Contribute to TypeScript-based backend components for frontend integration.
• Write and maintain tests (unit, integration, API) for reliability and security.
• Contribute to AI-powered software solutions leveraging modern engineering practices.
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.
• Mentor less experienced developers.
• Follow Definition of Done and coding standards.
• Support deployment, monitoring and application stability with DevOps.
• Fulfill safety, personnel, and regulatory requirements.
• Act as a role model in Ivoclar values.
• Handle other admin/organizational tasks.
