Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking an Azure Cloud Architect to oversee cloud infrastructure, primarily Microsoft Azure, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions. The role involves collaborating with multiple teams to align cloud initiatives with business needs and to shape the firm's long-term cloud strategy.

The ideal candidate will have 2–7 years in cloud engineering or systems administration, strong Azure hands-on experience, and a solid grounding in networking and virtualization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM-related field.
• 2–7 years of experience in systems administration or cloud engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform is essential.
• Knowledge and experience in virtualization technologies.
• Understanding of core networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls.
• Ability to translate architectural requirements into effective cloud solutions.
• Proficiency in deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Skill in selecting appropriate cloud services based on data, compute, or security needs.
• Capability to estimate cloud usage costs and apply strategies for cost control.
• Experience migrating on-premises servers and services to the cloud.
