Job summary

MediCard Phils., Inc. in Makati is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support AIA business units on Azure, handling incident-, change-, request- and problem management while focusing on automation, scalability and security.

You will collaborate with engineering and development teams to propose the best cloud solutions and ensure high availability across platforms. The role requires 5+ years in cloud engineering, proficiency with AWS/Azure/GCP, IaC tooling, containers, and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with open-source technology, software development, and system engineering.
• Experience in network infrastructure, database, compute, and storage systems.
• Understanding of scalable computing systems / AKS.
• Knowledge of Linux and/or Windows environments.
• Automation/scripting for Enterprise Public Cloud Services.
• IaC tooling (Terraform, Ansible, Chef/Puppet).
• Relevant professional certifications (Azure, AWS, ITIL etc).

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to cloud environments and incident-, change-, request- and problem management.
• Align with stakeholders to implement modifications on current systems.
• Analyse systems to identify security flaws and performance issues.
• Automate system operations to improve efficiency and speed.
• Collaborate with engineering and development teams to select cloud solutions.
• Maintain high availability, security and scalability of cloud resources.
• Stay updated on cloud computing advancements to advise on best practices.
• Troubleshoot cloud application failures and deployment issues.
• Ensure operational processes (backup, patching, provisioning, monitoring) are followed.
