This will provide day to day support to all AIA business units using AIA’s Azure public cloud platform including but not limited to incident-, change-, request- and problem management. This role focuses on leveraging azure services administration, automation task and optimize infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Working with stakeholders to understand the modifications they wish to apply to their current systems
- Analysing current systems to find flaws that can jeopardise cloud security
- Uploading business information to a cloud computing platform and setting up simple retrieval mechanisms for data
- Staying updated on advancements in the field of cloud computing to advise businesses and clients on industry best practices
- Troubleshooting issues pertaining to cloud application failure or security flaws
- Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
- Automating specific system operations to enhance efficiency and speed
- Evaluating and identifying the best cloud solutions in collaboration with engineering and development teams
- Locating, evaluating and fixing infrastructure risks and deployment problems
- Periodically evaluating computer systems and offering suggestions for performance enhancements
- Offering support and guidance to meet customer requirements
Minimum Job Requirements:
Experience:
- 5+ years Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role
- Proficiency with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience with open-source technology, software development, and system engineering
- Experience in network infrastructure, database, compute, and storage systems
- Understanding of scalable computing systems / AKS
- Knowledge of Linux and/or Windows environments
- Practical experience of supporting Enterprise Public Cloud Services and automation/scripting
- Liaise with service providers to ensure that operational processes (backup, patching, provisioning, monitoring) for service follow-up and incident management.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (Containers and Orchestration)
- Understanding of Infrastructure-As-Code configuration management tooling (at least one of the following – Terraform, Ansible, Chef/Puppet)
- Relevant professional certifications (Azure, AWS, ITIL etc)
