Job summary

Axos Financial seeks an Assistant Vice President (AVP) Accounting Manager to direct day-to-day accounting operations, manage month-end closures, and prepare workbooks for regulatory reporting. You will ensure GAAP compliance, supervise staff, and support internal and external audits.

Responsibilities include overseeing regulatory reporting inputs, accounting policies, and the close processes while mentoring a team of 7–12 accounting staff to maintain ledger integrity.

• Ensure GAAP compliance, supervise staff, and support audits.
• Oversee regulatory reporting inputs, including call reports and regulatory schedules.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day accounting operations and month-end closures.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and manage internal controls, including SOX.
• Oversee preparation of regulatory reports and inputs for SEC filings (10-Q/10-K) and related schedules.
• Mentor and manage accounting staff of 7–12, ensuring objectives are met.
• Implement new accounting systems and integrate current systems to automate controls.
• Prepare consolidated statements of cash flows and support regulator information requests.
