Nexus Recruitment Group is seeking an AVP Controllership (Regulatory Reporting) to join its Finance team. You will ensure timely regulatory reporting for a global financial institution and lead projects from initiation to completion.

Responsibilities include preparing schedules, improving processes, and collaborating with internal audit and regulators. Strong US GAAP knowledge and system experience are essential. The role offers exposure to automation initiatives and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; 3+ years in Banking or Financial Services (or 7+ years if no degree).
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting principles.
• Experience with financial systems and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review regulatory reporting schedules (FR2900, FRY-9C, FFIEC031, FRY-9LP, FRY-11, FFIEC009, FRY-14Q, FRY-15).
• Lead and track progress on regulatory reporting projects.
• Maintain and improve documentation, job aids, and policies for accuracy and compliance.
• Act as a key contact for internal audit, QA reviews, and regulator inquiries.
• Support system implementation and automation initiatives to streamline reporting processes.
• Participate in process improvement projects and drive special projects to completion.
