Job summary

PAL Express is seeking an SMS Administration Specialist/Officer to support planning, organizing, and implementing the PAL SMS program and to measure safety performance for ongoing improvement and regulatory compliance.

The role covers maintaining the Safety Manual, overseeing the Safety Library, delivering training, and coordinating with CAAP and other authorities to ensure safety standards are met across all operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Aviation, or related field preferred.
• At least 2 years in aviation operations, maintenance, or airline SMS administration with hands-on SMS experience.
• Experience in customer support and project management, ability to lead safety initiatives and training programs.
• Strong knowledge of airline operations and regulatory procedures; excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and administer PAL SMS implementation and performance measurement.
• Manage and maintain Safety Manual (SMM) and related safety processes.
• Oversee Safety Library, hazard and risk data, and safety modules.
• Deliver SMS training programs (online and in-person) across all levels, including executives.
• Lead safety promotion initiatives through memos, bulletins and campaigns.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities (e.g., CAAP) for compliance.
• Support risk management activities: hazard identification, mitigation, monitoring KPIs.
• Provide SMS oversight and support for PAL Express operations.
• Lead and manage safety projects aligned with safety objectives.
• Contribute to accident/incident investigations and safety committee reports.
