Job summary

Spectrum Audio Visual Pte Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic AV Designer to craft solutions designed to win, detailed and operational. You will work with seasoned designers and engineers to deliver AV systems for MNCs, healthcare, hospitality and government projects, with comprehensive training and mentorship.

You will design, draft schematics and BOMs, support proposals, and collaborate across project teams to ensure successful implementations and practical designs using the latest AV technologies.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Audio-Visual, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an AV Designer or in a related AV engineering role.
• Basic understanding of commercial AV systems and system integration.
• Detail-oriented, organised and eager to learn.
• Strong written and spoken English skills.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drafting software is an advantage.

We're looking for an enthusiastic AV Designer to design solutions that are Designed to Win, Designed in Detail and Designed to Work.

In this role, you'll work alongside experienced designers and engineers to create innovative Audio-Visual solutions for MNC, enterprise, healthcare, hospitality, and government projects. Comprehensive training and mentorship will be provided to help you grow your career in AV system design.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in designing commercial AV solutions that meet the client's functional and business requirements

• Select suitable AV equipment and prepare system designs

• Prepare accurate AV schematics, wiring diagrams and Bills of Materials (BOM)

• Ensure drawings, equipment schedules and documentation are complete, organised and comply with our engineering standards and best practices

• Support the Sales Team by preparing technical information for proposals and tender submissions

• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and Programmers to ensure designs are practical and can be implemented successfully

• Participate in design reviews, project handovers and site visits to gain practical project experience

• Continuously develop your technical knowledge and apply the latest AV technologies, products and best practices in your designs

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum Diploma in Audio-Visual, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an AV Designer, or experience in an AV engineering, commissioning, project engineering, programming or other technical role within the commercial AV industry

• Basic understanding of commercial AV systems and system integration

• Detail-oriented, organised and eager to learn

• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills

• Proficient in written and spoken English

• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drafting software is an advantage
