Job summary

MicroSourcing in the Philippines seeks an Audio Visual Design Engineer to provide presales technical consulting, generate functional system descriptions, CAD drawings, block flow diagrams, and equipment lists for customer proposals.

The engineer also supports project management and field technicians on ongoing projects, delivering a professional client experience and ensuring designs meet scope, timelines, and quality standards, while coordinating with vendors to maintain seamless AV integration.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of A/V design and engineering experience.
AVIXA CTS‑D certification.
Fluent working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, Visio, and database programs.
Working knowledge of WireCAD, Revit or other BIM software preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Produce comprehensive system wiring and architectural documentation for AV, videoconferencing, and broadcast designs.
Identify special requirements for projects (test equipment, tools, rigging).
Present design reviews with internal staff and clients throughout the design lifecycle.
Identify cabling and material needs for assigned projects.
Create solutions for spaces like conference rooms, board rooms, control rooms, NOCs, training facilities, and video walls.
Participate in client meetings, scheduling, briefs, and design reviews.
Maintain knowledge of AV product lines and vendor services.
Research best practices to improve installation standards.
