Job summary

Umpisa Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for web, mobile, and API applications.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and test management best practices. The role requires 2–3 years of software test automation experience and a Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/SE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in Software Test Automation, QA Automation, or a similar role.
• Strong experience in writing automated test scripts using JavaScript, WebdriverIO, Cucumber Framework, and MochaJS.
• Hands-on experience with API Test Automation and mobile test automation (Appium, Android Studio, iOS Simulator).
• Proficient with Git and Azure Repos and experience implementing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or Jenkins).
• Experience using BrowserStack or similar cloud-based device testing platforms and familiarity with Playwright and JMeter is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Create and maintain automated test cases, test scenarios, and reusable test frameworks.
• Develop and execute API automation tests to validate functionality and integrations.
• Perform mobile app testing using Appium, Android Studio, and iOS Simulator.
• Execute cross-browser and cross-device testing using BrowserStack for multiple environments.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or Jenkins).
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks and testing processes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and code reviews.
