Job summary

OpsWerks in Cebu City is seeking a QA Engineer focused on automated testing to ensure software quality across platforms. You will design test plans, implement automated tests, and help integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires a 4-year CS/Engineering degree, 4+ years in software testing, 2+ years in test automation, and willingness to work onsite. Familiarity with Selenium, performance/load/API testing, and CI/CD tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in a software development environment.
• 4+ years in functional and non-functional testing of applications.
• 2+ years in test automation.
• Amenable to full onsite work.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, build upon, and comply with company quality assurance standards.
• Develop a quality plan for different testing stages.
• Maintain complaint and non-conformance processing with records and root-cause actions.
• Document QA activities with internal reporting and audits.
• Develop new standards for production/design and testing protocols.
• Identify training needs to ensure company-wide compliance.
• Sketch ideas for automated test procedures and pursue new solutions.
• Create scripts using Python and other scripting languages.
• Create tests for automated end-to-end testing and automated UAT.
• Interact with APIs for testing.
• Test with performance, load, API tools (Locust, OWASP Zap).
• Incorporate test runs in CI/CD.
• Query databases for data validation.
• Apply QA terminology, methods, and tools; demonstrate problem-solving.
