We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with extensive experience in both web and mobile testing. The ideal candidate will possess strong scripting and coding abilities, along with a proven track record in logical structuring and problem-solving. This role requires expertise in API testing and a solid understanding of automation frameworks, particularly with Selenium and Playwright. The successful candidate will lead the automation team and projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
- Manage the automation project and lead the automation team, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Identify and implement alternative interaction strategies for element locators, addressing issues as they arise.
- Conduct API testing to validate the functionality and performance of backend services.
- Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve defects in a timely manner.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing and automation.
Qualifications
Mandatory Skills
- 10+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation.
- Proficiency in Selenium and Playwright for web application testing.
- Strong scripting and coding skills in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- API testing experience.
- Ability to identify element locators and implement effective testing strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with XPath Axes for improved element locator identification.
- Experience with mobile testing frameworks such as Appium or similar.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
- Experience with performance testing tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
