Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in the Philippines is seeking a talented engineer to drive end-to-end automation initiatives across 8 markets. You will translate strategy into in-market execution with clear owners, timelines and accountability.

You will work with local automation engineers and China-based software engineers to deliver OEE dashboards, digital twin and AI-assisted diagnostics that operations teams rely on daily. Travel across Southeast Asia is expected.

Qualifications

• Eng degree required, master's advantageous but not required, graduation by Jul 2027 and joining by Aug 2027.
• Experience in technical engineering and program or project management.
• Hands-on in PLC/DCS system integration incl. P&ID verification and onsite troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Modbus RTU/TCP or OPC-UA and conveyor control logic.
• OT/IT networking knowledge: switches, VLANs, routers, remote access.
• Ability to drive adoption and sustain results across multiple sites or markets.
• Strong communication to present data and risks clearly.
• Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Brazil.

Responsibilities

• Own regional automation project performance monitoring and ensure in-market execution with clear owners and timelines.
• Develop and deploy performance visibility tools (OEE dashboards, digital twin, AI-assisted diagnostics).
• Govern vendor activities, validate testing, and identify gaps before go-live.
• Track OEE and uptime KPIs, flag deviations, drive corrective actions, and establish local reporting habits.

• End-to-end automation project performance monitoring - own regional rollouts across 8 markets, translate strategy into in-market execution with clear owners, timelines, and accountability ensure initiatives don't just launch but stick
• Performance visibility tools - work with local automation engineers and China-based software engineers to deliver OEE dashboards, digital twin, and AI-assisted diagnostics that operations teams rely on day-to-day
• Vendor governance - partner with project and procurement teams to validate point-to-point testing, redundancy verification, and control logic against specifications during design and project phases identify gaps before go-live
• Performance management - track OEE and uptime KPIs across markets, flag deviations early, drive corrective action, and build local reporting habits so performance management becomes routine rather than reactive

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing/possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering, at a reputable university with strong academic credentials A master's degree is advantageous but not required, and expected to graduate by Jul 2027 and join us by Aug 2027
• Experience in technical engineering and program or project management, internship or full-time
• Hands-on grounding in PLC/DCS system integration and commissioning - including P&ID verification, hardware configuration, instrumentation checks, and onsite troubleshooting of control programs and equipment able to read and critique SAT protocols, IO Lists, and network architecture diagrams
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC-UA) and conveyor/sorter control logic - enough to hold a credible technical conversation and know the right questions to ask
• Working knowledge of OT/IT networking - switches, VLANs, router configuration, remote access, and OT/IT segregation
• Demonstrated ability to drive adoption of technical or operational programs across multiple sites or markets - not just deploying but following through to sustained results
• Strong communicator: able to present performance data and technical risks clearly to management without jargon
• Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity - you define the structure and drive the follow-through
• Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Brazil as required for business needs
