Job summary

Globe in the Philippines is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to drive end-to-end quality across UI, API and mobile layers, embedding shift-left testing and championing test automation. You will develop and maintain automation frameworks, define test strategies, execute both manual and automated tests, and report metrics such as Defect Leakage and MTTR to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of Test Automation QA/QE experience
• Strong grasp of QA methodologies, SDLC, DevOps, and test strategy development
• Experienced in stakeholder communication and vendor/partner quality management
• Automation expertise: Playwright, Appium, Selenium, Cucumber, RobotFramework
• CI/CD tools: GitLab, Jenkins, CircleCI,
• Performance & security testing: JMeter, K6, OWASP ZAP, Fortify, SonarQube
• Cloud experience: AWS, GCP, Azure
• Skilled in quality analytics, defect trends, RCA, and dashboard reporting
• Proficient in Java, Python, or JavaScript for scripting and test development

Responsibilities

• Embed Shift-Left Testing Practices early in the SDLC to ensure quality from the start.
• Test Planning and Design: create test scenarios and cases aligned with requirements.
• Test Automation: develop and maintain automation scripts for UI, API, and mobile platforms.
• Test Execution and Management: execute manual and automated tests across phases and manage test data and environments.
• Defect Management: log, track, and retest defects; perform root cause analysis.
• Non-Functional Testing: integrate performance and security checks into CI/CD.
• CI/CD Integration: implement automated tests in pipelines and enforce quality gates.
• Reporting and Metrics: track Defect Leakage, MTTD, MTTR and share insights.
• Collaboration and Communication: work with developers, analysts, product owners and stakeholders.
