Job summary

Maybank in Manila is seeking a Collection Assistant (Auto) to support the Asset Quality Management team by pursuing timely auto loan repayments and helping customers find workable payment solutions.

You will contact delinquent borrowers by phone, mail, SMS, and email; handle high value and large-balance accounts; maintain accurate records in the Loan Collection System; and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to improve collection performance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 4-year business-related course.
• At least 2 years of collections experience.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Results-oriented and customer-focused.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Perform collection activities and execute collection processes for assigned Auto Loan accounts.
• Initiate contact with delinquent borrowers through phone calls, mail, SMS, and electronic messaging.
• Work on both regular delinquent accounts and High Value At Risk accounts, including Non-Starters, Multiple Accounts, Truck Loans, and other large-balance accounts.
• Facilitate customer requests and address payment-related concerns.
• Secure Statements of Account (SOA) and payment history information.
• Endorse and facilitate requests such as check deferment, change of payment mode, and waiver requests.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of collection activities and account updates in the Loan Collection System (LCS).
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external service providers to support account resolution and recovery initiatives.
• Assist in achieving prescribed collection, leakage, and retention-rate targets.
