Job summary

UpSource is hiring a Bookkeeper with Australian Accounting experience to support an Australian client. The role requires at least 1 year of hands-on Australian accounting/bookkeeping experience, with solid BAS, GST, superannuation, reconciliations and daily financial processing.

Ideal candidates may have Xero experience or certification. This is an Independent Contractor position involving bookkeeping, financial processing, BAS support, customer communication, and order management, based onsite

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Australian accounting/bookkeeping experience.
• Hands-on Australian accounting processes incl. BAS, GST, superannuation, reconciliations, and day-to-day processing.
• Xero experience or certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare purchase orders for suppliers and process them as bills.
• Issue customer invoices and process payments and receipts.
• Reconcile customer remittances and perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly accounts and upload for authorization.
• Process payroll and superannuation contributions.
• Assist with BAS preparation and filing and GST reconciliations.
• Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
