Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking an Assistant Manager - AU Tax to join a pioneer team supporting a global Big Four firm. You will lead Australian tax, accounting, and advisory engagements for SME and mid-market clients, guiding team performance and maintaining delivery standards while expanding leadership experience.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of Australian Public Practice Accounting experience.
• At least 2 years of team leadership experience.
• Experience with SME and mid-market clients with AUD5M-100M+ turnover.
• CA or CA-equivalent qualification, either completed or in progress.
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation, accounting legislation, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to review technical work and maintain high-quality delivery standards.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and people-development capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide Australian tax and accounting advice and solutions to SMEs, privately owned businesses, trusts, ballot partnerships, foreign subsidiaries, and small listed entities.
• Develop and apply expertise in Australian tax compliance, accounting, and business advisory services for middle-market clients.
• Lead and contribute throughout the full client engagement lifecycle.
• Communicate directly with clients through presentations and meetings involving senior stakeholders.
• Deliver high-quality outcomes that promote long-term client success.
